Donal M. Erickson, DPM was born in Albany, NY and was raised by incredibly supportive and loving parents. He also has two of the best younger brothers anyone could ever ask for. They provided him with the love, resources, and guidance to allow him to get to where he is today. He completed his undergraduate studies at Syracuse University (Go Orange!), where he graduated magna cum laude with Renée Crown honors for his BS in biotechnology. His aunt, Dr. Amelia Erickson was an inspiration to him since a young age and caused him to have an interest in medicine. Following undergraduate, he attended New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Harlem, NY, where he obtained his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. Following school, he completed his 3-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle at Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial hospital in Binghamton, NY. He had the pleasure and honor of being trained by a true giant in the field of podiatry, Dr. Guido LaPorta. He is incredibly excited to be starting employment at Syracuse Podiatry and serving an area that he loves. In his free time, Donal and his wife Kimberly enjoy traveling, camping, boating, hiking, skiing, craft beer, brewing beer, watching “Doctor Who”, and rooting for the NY Giants and Syracuse Orange. They are expecting their first child at the end of summer 2019.
